Free Dining is Back
April 14th, 2009That is right. Disney's Free Dining is back. It is valid for any trip to the World between August 16th to October 3rd as long as you book before June 21st. Get that right, anytime from August 16th to October 3rd must book before June 21st. Yes, it is after the summer is over and most are gearing back, it not back in school, but don't think Disney did not plan it this way. Also you have to stay on property at least three nights and buy at least a one day base ticket. That means for you annual pass holders you will have to buy at least a one day base ticket, but hey that is not a big deal as you can just use that ticket later, apply it to your pass when you renew it, etc. A friendly reminder to make sure you book your dining reservations 90 days in advance as some locations (Le Cellier) do book up fast.
Again deatils of the deal.
- Stay on property at least 3 nights between August 16th, 2009 and October 3rd, 2009.
- Book before June 21st.
- Purchase at least a One Day Base Ticket with the package.
Do the above and get Free Dining!
Disney Dreams Come True
April 8th, 2009So while it seems like there isn't anything earth shattering to say, how about taking a look at my own video of the Disney Dreams Come True Parade, recorded live in front of the train station in June, 2007. Please tell me what you think!
It's National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day!
April 2nd, 2009National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day celebrates the "PB and J" sandwich. Its the favorite lunchtime sandwich of American kids, and many adults, too. Some kids practically live on Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches.
====================
Even with the uproar over tainted peanuts and seriously deadly allergies, PB&J is a staple food for many families. And, in the realm of Disney, ONE place stands out to me over all others when it comes to the PB&J: Aunt Polly's on Tom Sawyer's Island.
There is something utterly timeless about settling into a rough-hewn bench on Tom Sawyer's Island, PB&J in hand, watching the Liberty Belle steam by, and having the background music take you back to a time we can only read about now; a time where The River was the only highway around and the lure of the unknown was awaiting those in the Midwest and beyond...
All in all, perfect theming for Frontierland.
So, we salute you, Peanut Butter and Jelly!
Four Asian Guys: Disney Medley
March 28th, 2009While there are few mistakes I think that they played the Disney Medley beautifully. Some parts were off, but otherwise it is worth watching the video.
